GPC® 51D

General Purpose Controller, Dallas 80C320

The GPC® 51D card is a powerful control and governing module in the standard Europe 100x160 mm. size. This card rises directly from GPC®51 and of this latter it maintains some peculiar features so as programming in MCS 52 BASIC. Comparing GPC® 51D to GPC® 51, the new version has made powerful some hardware features and, very important thing, it has strengthened of 6 time more the software performances ; all this is due to DALLAS 80C320 CPU and to the increasment of the clock frequence that now is 22.1184 MHz.

The GPC® 51D card operates on the powerful Industrial ABACO® BUS of which it exploits the wide outfit of industrial peripheries and intelligent modules. Among those cards that can make easier the job during the debugging phase and that can be coupled to the GPC®51D, we can mention the G02-I/O, DKD-01, DEB-01, KDL-224 and so forth.

The GPC® 51D card can be directly interfaced to any I/O cards and through a 20 pins standard I/O connector to any modules of the BLOCK serie i.e. XBI-01, RBO-16, OBI-01, TBO-01 and so on.

The development and setup of applicatives can just start from the GPC® 51D and the serial connection to a common PC. In special way the version using MCS52 BASIC program coupled to the GET-51 Tool, has all it is necessary to make the job including the possibility to program in an autonomom way and/or to cancel and re-program many time the on-board EEPROM with the applicative program. The extreme modularity of this card makes the same the "Ideal Component" for the construction of architectures with distributed logic affording good resources both in terms of I/O and processing.

The completeness of GPC® 51D makes it suitable to meet on its own, control requirements of medium-complex units or automations. When a more complex assembly is required, the performances are easy to increase using suitable cards to be assembled on the powerful Industrial ABACO® BUS.

• Wide availability of languages and high level environmental for the development of managing firmware both in EPROM as FORTH, DEBUGGER-TRACE, BASIC Interpreter, and so on and in Cross on host PC as ASSEMBLER, PASCAL, BXC51 BASIC Compiler, DDS, GET-51, CMX-RTX, NoICE,, MCC, HTC-51 and so on. No development system is required in order to operate; it is sufficent the card and a software tool: i.e BASIC and the connection through the serial line to any PC using our GET-51: nothing more.
